Dear Spartan Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year at Swallows Charter Academy! We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity, and we are grateful to partner with you as we support each student’s academic, athletic, and personal success.  At Swallows Charter Academy, we hold high expectations for our students—academically, behaviorally, and socially—because we believe in their potential. Our commitment is to provide a safe, caring, and respectful environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to do their very best.

Our dedicated staff works intentionally to ensure that all students can learn and grow in a positive, non-threatening setting. Your partnership is essential in this work. School rules and policies exist to protect students and create a learning environment where everyone can thrive. We encourage parents and students to become familiar with the policies and expectations outlined in the Student–Parent Handbook, as it serves as an important guide throughout the school year and on the journey toward graduation.

Please take time to read the handbook carefully and discuss it together as a family. High school students are also responsible for understanding the expectations and requirements outlined in the Pueblo Community College (PCC) and/or Colorado State University–Pueblo (CSU-P) student handbooks, as well as any related contracts and obligations through our concurrent enrollment program..

Swallows Charter Academy will be what you make of it. Take pride in your school. Care for it. Engage fully in the opportunities it offers. Set ambitious goals for yourself and commit to the hard work required to achieve them. As Michelangelo wisely noted, “The danger for most of us is not that our goals are too high and we miss them, but that they are too low and we reach them.”

We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and shared success. Thank you for being part of our Spartan community. Best wishes for a rewarding and successful school year.

With warm regards,
Dr. Cindy Compton
